In his welcoming speech, Rustam Minnikhanov said that the region highly appreciates the possibilities of cooperation between Tatarstan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo by developing friendly Russian-Congolese relations. Moreover, this year Russia and Congo are celebrating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

In a telephone conversation with our correspondent, Ilyumzhinov said that the guests from Congo were especially interested in the development of relations in such areas as mechanical engineering, the oil industry, shipbuilding, agriculture, etc.
In a conversation with Rustam Minnikhanov, Ilyumzhinov once again congratulated the President of the Republic of Tatarstan on his convincing victory in the elections and wished him new successes in fruitful work for the benefit of the residents of the republic and Russia.
