On December 20, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov sent us a wonderful and, most importantly, unexpected video. You can see it on the home page of our website. Kirsan Nikolaevich told us about this video:
“The tiger cub, whom the tigress mother abandoned at birth, now has several adoptive parents who are all human! The cub was born at the zoo. He was barely alive and they thought that he would not survive. His mother did not even begin to lick him, sensing that the cub was not meant to live. But people came to the rescue: zoo employees, animal advocates and sponsors. They took the new-born baby to the veterinary clinic, where he was nursed for a month. And they made it!
Now my friend is looking after him and he gave the little tiger name Kirsan. My namesake will live in his house until he grows up. Today, they stopped by to visit me. It seems we made friends with the tiger cub. At least he drank milk from my bottle with great pleasure. When he was full, he waved his paw to everyone, as if congratulating us on the coming New Year. It's good when you have real friends!"
