Ilyumzhinov congratulates Prime Minister of Mongolia Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene on his appointment

On February 16, first President of Kalmykia, sixth President of FIDE Kirsan Ilyumzhinov congratulated Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene on his appointment as Prime Minister of Mongolia:

“During one of my working visits to fraternal Mongolia, I met with Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene, then a member and head of the apparatus of the Great Khural of Mongolia. Now he has become the country's prime minister. I sincerely congratulate you on your appointment and, of course, on the Tsagan Sar holiday!"
On January 27, Mongolian President Khaltmaagiin Battulga submitted to parliament the candidacy of Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene for the post of Prime Minister. 87.9% of the deputies voted for him.
This happened after the entire government of Mongolia resigned on January 21. Former Prime Minister Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh announced his resignation after a January 20 protest in Ulan Bator. The protesters demanding the resignation of officials from the state emergency commission. The parliament accepted the resignation.

Today, a new government headed by Prime Minister Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene has been formed. The new cabinet has pledged to make significant efforts in organizing work on mass vaccination for coronavirus, economic recovery, employment and having stable income of the people following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Editor’s note: Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene was born in 1980 in Khentiy. He began his political career as head of the administration of the governor of Berkh city of Khentiy. Since 2009, he worked as head of the department for affairs of the governing council of the Mongolian People's Party. In 2016, he was first elected to parliament from the Mongolian People's Party. In 2019 - 2021, he headed the administration of the government.
