Kirsan Ilyumzhinov meets with President of the Republic of South Sudan Salvatore Kiir Mayardit
As we have already reported, the first President of Kalmykia, sixth FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov is on a business trip to African countries. The day before, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov arrived from Kenya to the city of Juba, the capital of the Republic of South Sudan.
On July 14, 2021, he met with the President of the Republic of South Sudan Salva Kiir Mayardit. During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities for implementing international investment projects in South Sudan, as well as holding events in the field of culture and sports.
In memory of the meeting, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov presented the President with a set of souvenir chess.
A meeting was also held between Kirsan Ilyumzhinov and Ambassador for Youth Affairs of the Pan-African Parliament Albino M. A Aboug.
