On September 20, the first President of Kalmykia, sixth President of FIDE Kirsan Ilyumzhinov arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic on a working visit. Straight from the airport, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov went to the Talas region, where he has many friends and business partners.

During the visit, Ilyumzhinov held business negotiations with the leadership of the region - the plenipotentiary of the President of Kyrgyzstan in the Talas region Bakytbek Narbekov. They discussed the possibilities for the implementation of mutually beneficial projects.
In a telephone conversation with our correspondent, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov said he was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of the Talas Region of the Kyrgyz Republic, which he is very proud of.
Talas Region is one of the 7 regions of the Kyrgyz Republic, located in the north-western part of the country. It occupies the Talas Valley and the slopes of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too mountains. It borders with the Republic of Kazakhstan in the north and west, Jalal-Abad in the south and the Chui regions of Kyrgyzstan in the east.

Incidentally, the high-mountainous regions of Talas Region are the places of traditional residence of Kyrgyz nomads and herders with a strong Mongoloid influence, who constitute most of its population.
