On October 27, Honorary Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Russia, Mongolia and the CIS countries, Shadzhin Lama of Kalmykia Honourable Telo Tulku Rinpoche turned 49 years old. The first President of Kalmykia, sixth President of FIDE Kirsan Ilyumzhinov conveyed birthday greetings to the Shadzhin Lama of Kalmykia Telo Tulku Rinpoche:

“Dear friend and spiritual brother! I sincerely thank you for your selfless service to your people, for the light of faith, hope and love that you bring to us through the noble truths of Buddhism!
Your wisdom and kindness have always been an example for us to follow. Your contribution to strengthening the religious and cultural ties that have existed for centuries between the traditional Buddhist regions of Russia and the Tibetan community headed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama is invaluable. I will never forget how we jointly arranged the visit of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Kalmykia in 2004.
