Kirsan Ilyumzhinov congratulates friends and fellow countrymen on National Unity Day

On November 4, Russia celebrates National Unity Day. On November 4, 1612, people of different nationalities and views rallied in the struggle against the enemy and preserved the statehood of our country. The militia led by Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky rebuffed the invading Polish troops.

The first President of Kalmykia, sixth President of FIDE Kirsan Ilyumzhinov congratulated all his friends, fellow countrymen and people of Kalmykia, on the Day of National Unity:
“I congratulate you on National Unity Day! This is a holiday of pride for the Fatherland, for our small homeland, for the military and labour history, heroism and fortitude of Russians.
For centuries, patriotism and solidarity, mutual assistance and responsibility have helped our multinational people to pass the most difficult trials, achieve success and win.
The meaning of this holiday is that we, living on the same land, in the same country should be together and do the common thing. Which is to strengthen the Fatherland that was gathered, united, defended with their blood and entrusted to us by our great ancestors!

Representatives of 195 peoples and nationalities live in Russia belonging to various religious confessions and movements. The main thing is that we know and remember that we are citizens of one country. And we must solve all problems together, by joint efforts, in peace and trust!
I wish you all success in good deeds, prosperity, peace and happiness! Joy, health, confidence in the future and all the best!"
