The meeting of the Organizing Committee for the establishing of sporting events in the KMAO, chaired by the Governor of Ugra Natalia Komarova, took place in Khanty-Mansiysk at the end of last week. In particular, the results of the 2015 World Junior Chess Championship were analysed.
Incidentally, there was information shared at the meeting that the FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov had mentioned that such a big tournament in the capital of Ugra was held up to the international standards.
Earlier, Ilyumzhinov warmly thanked the administration and all the citizens of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District of the Russian Federation "for the professional and impeccable organization of the Championship" that was attended by 106 young players from 40 countries.
