On January 25th, the head of FIDE Kirsan Ilyumzhinov was appointed the Honorary President of the World Human Fund. It is worth reminding that WHF is a reputable international organization, operating in Europe, Russia, the USA, North Africa and the Middle East. The Fund's mission is providing the social and medical assistance to people in need, including the Syrian refugees.
In response Ilyumzhinov thanked the founder of the WHF Ms. Hiam Issa for confidence, expressing his hope for further cooperation.
"I was flattered and felt a sense of deep gratitude. The WHF noble activity is fully consistent with my intentions and aspirations. I will put all my efforts and energy to carry out the vital projects which the Fund intends to implement for the benefit of mankind ",- said the head of FIDE in his letter.
