Kirsan Ilyumzhinov intends to sue the US government

FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov intends to sue the US government, according to broadcaster "World 24". He considers illegal to be included into the sanctions list and denies that he is related to the illicit trade of oil in Syria.
"On the one hand, I am accused of having ties with Bashar al-Assad and the other – of assisting ISIS, which is fighting against Assad. How can I simultaneously cooperate with the terrorist organization banned in Russia and Bashar al-Assad?” said Ilyumzhinov.

Earlier, the head of FIDE announced its readiness to prove his innocence by taking a lie detector test. It would become a legal precedent if Ilyumzhinov wins the case. None of those, included into the sanctions list, has sued the United States yet.
