The head of FIDE attends the opening ceremony of the Pentathlon World Championship

On May 23, FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov took part in the opening ceremony of the Pentathlon World Championship in Moscow.

The event was also attended by the President of the World Organization of Olympians and the head of international project "Peace and Sport" Joel Buzu, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the head of the ROC Alexander Zhukov and the President of the International Federation of Modern Pentathlon Klaus Schormann.

During the ceremony, Sergei Sobyanin invited Kirsan Ilyumzhinov to a business meeting to discuss the cooperation between FIDE and the Mayor's Office of the Russian capital.
