Victoria Falls is located in Africa on the Zambezi River at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Victoria is one of the world’s largest waterfalls; its width is about 1708 meters and height is more than 100 meters.
Africa can host major chess competitions for the first time in history, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov said at a press conference in TASS.
"I have just returned from Zimbabwe, where there is a great interest in the game of chess. Zimbabwe and Zambia have submitted a joint application for participation in the 2021 World Cup and the 2022 Chess Olympiad. It will be held near Victoria Falls, can you imagine how beautiful it will be? ", FIDE President said.
