As we already reported, on 27 March 2019, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov flew to Kalmykia for the anniversary celebrations of 50th anniversary of the Odn (Star) factory. He worked as a fitter there for two years. “I went through a Soviet school and worked at a Soviet factory. I am a graduate of the Star factory. Every young man must undergo labour training. I am proud that I am a Soviet worker,” Kirsan Ilyumzhinov said. In turn, he presented a million roubles to the factory’s mutual assistance fund and ten vacation packages to Turkey for advanced workers.
“Thank you and a deep bow to all generations of employees of the Star factory - one of the leading enterprises in the country’s industry - for their dedicated work, for their invaluable contribution to the development of both Kalmykia and the best labour traditions of our steppe Republic,” Kirsan Nikolaevich said.
On 2 June, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met fellow workers of the Star factory - happy holidaymakers in Turkey - to see them off at the Pushkin Airport (Sheremetyevo).
Later, they said it was beautiful holiday. Workers of the Odn factory made a collage from photographs from Turkey. A photo of the dinner with Ilyumzhinov before the trip was put in the centre of it. And, of course, they expressed their gratitude to Kirsan Nikolayevich.
