On October 2 in Moscow, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov held talks with the Minister of Education of Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Vladimir Egorov, discussing introduction of chess in the curriculum of general educational institutions.
Following the meeting, a regional roadmap for "Chess in schools" project was adopted. After the official part, FIDE president and the Yakut minister played a friendly game of chess.
