Kiev is one of the earliest centers of Slavic culture and spiritual stronghold of Orthodoxy, and it plays a key role in modern European and world politics.
Two-thirds of the people of Kiev voted for you and paid tribute to your high leadership qualities, and expressed confidence in the exchange rate, which you and your team are conducting under your leadership.
I am confident that we will be able to build up mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of introduction of chess lessons in schools in Kiev and spend here the prestigious tournaments from the FIDE calendar. Of course, it will help strengthen the international image of the Ukrainian capital.
