On July 14, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, who is on a working visit to Ulaanbaatar, visited a chess club of the Chess Federation of Mongolia where he played several friendly games with young students.
Then FIDE president met with the 1st deputy chairman of the State Great Khural (parliament of the country) Sanjmyatav and discussed the issue of supporting the ‘Chess in Schools’ programme.
In addition, Ilyumzhinov attended the ceremony of awarding the head of SF of Mongolia Sanbayar with Labour Red Banner Order for his achievements in developing chess and holding major chess events.
After official meetings, head of FIDE made a walk around the city and was photographed with residents of the Mongolian capital in memory.
