Kirsan Ilyumzhinov in Kabul: day two

On December 13, at a meeting with Deputy Minister of Sports Mirwais Bahavi, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov offered to launch a pilot project "Chess in schools" in private schools. Both parties inspected the land for construction of a chess centre.

Ilyumzhinov agreed on his next visit to sign a document on cooperation in anti-drug prevention through chess with the head of department for combating drug trafficking Colonel Nezamuddin Bahavi -- a graduate of the Volgograd School of Militia.

On the same day, head of FIDE met with Prime Minister of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah and told him about his previous meetings and agreements reached during the talks as well as plans for further cooperation.
Head of the Government of Afghanistan was very satisfied with the visit of President of the International Chess Federation and instructed his staff to take control of all the issues discussed. Special support will be given to Central Asia Cup.

Before leaving, Ilyumzhinov made a walk around Kabul with Vice-President of Afghanistan Chess Federation of Abasin Mahibi and Gafuri Mohammed Naim. Head of FIDE was greatly impressed by the capital of Afghanistan. Later, he had a meeting with an old friend -- a graduate of MGIMO Abu Said.
