Later, Ilyumzhinov visited the Uzbekistan Chess Federation, where he talked with former world champion and vice-president of the Uzbekistan Chess Federation Rustam Kasimdzhanov.
On the same day, FIDE head held a meeting with the young people of Uzbekistan at Inha University in Tashkent (IUT).
This meeting was organized on the initiative of the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan. Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan Azim Ahmedkhadzhayev took part in this event.
The meeting was opened by IUT Rector Sarvar Babakhodzhaev. In his speech, the head of the university told about the activities of Kirsan Ilyumzhinov in different posts.
In his turn, Azim Ahmedkhadzhayev noted that he had discussed with FIDE President the issue of opening the chess faculty in IUT. The progress of children engaged in chess is increased by 40%, he added.
Kirsan Ilyumzhinov addressed the students and talked about his life and explained how he earned his first million. He also told how children from Kalmykia regularly took prizes at Olympic Games in mathematics, physics and biology with the help of chess.
FIDE Head noted that his main goal is for a billion people to play chess. In his opinion, thus, many conflicts in the world can be prevented. If people think like chess before every move, they will take more thoughtful steps, he said.
Kirsan Ilyumzhinov also thanked Uzbekistan leadership for the decision to include chess in the school curriculum. Speaking about the opening of the chess faculty, FIDE President stated that if a decision was made to open the faculty, he was ready to help with the books and in organizing the master classes.
As a part of his visit, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov played blitz games with Inha University rector Sarvar Babakhodzhaev and IUT student Saidrasul Usmonkhodzhaev. FIDE President wrote his wishes in the Book of Honoured Guests of the Inha University.
