More news about the visit of Kirsan Ilyumzhinov to South Korea. Colleagues from Korea (thank you!) sent photographs taken last weekend when the sixth FIDE President visited Seoul.
As we reported, Kirsan Nikolayevich held a series of meetings in the Korean Olympic Committee with the Chess Federation President, Ms Hyun In Suk, and Vice President Oh Hando. During the meetings, parties discussed possible participation of Kalmykia children in chess tournaments held in the Republic of Korea.
Last weekend, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov attended the Mind Sports Olympiad in Pyeongchang (10-11 August, 2019). One of the winners in its age group was a team from Ulan Bator. Ilyumzhinov warmly congratulated the winners. “I am pleased to congratulate the guys from fraternal Mongolia,” said Kirsan Nikolaevich.
