I cordially congratulate the Mongolian Chess Federation on winning the first FIDE Intercontinental Prisoner Chess Championship on October 13-14. In the men's final, the Mongolian team defeated Zimbabwe and became the champion of the tournament. The Mongolian men's team won over the teams of Russia, the USA and Georgia. The championship was held as part of the Chess for Freedom programme.
