Arkady Dvorkovich: "Ilyumzhinov has a slightly better chance of winning the FIDE president elections than Karpov"

Head of the Supervisory Board of the Russian Chess Federation Arkady Dvorkovich believes that the chances of Kirsan Ilyumzhinov to head the International Chess Federation (FIDE) are higher than that of his main rival Anatoly Karpov.

"If these two people are nominated, and while FIDE officially did not publish the list of candidates for the presidency, I believe that today Kirsan Ilyumzhinov has a slightly better chance of being elected," Dvorkovich told RIA Novosti.
